Default Can I carry at Shoreline Amphitheater?

No.

Last weekend I went to a yearly "Celebrate America" event at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View. It is hosted by a church in San Jose and is a celebration of freedom and the people that help us keep it.

Shoreline Amphitheater lists "What can I bring?" in an FAQ section of their website. A sub-heading states,
Quote:
For your safety the following items are NOT allowed for this event:
NO Professional Cameras
**This includes Sm, Med or Lrg Detachable Lenses**
NO Video or Audio Recording Devices
NO Laser Pointers
NO Sharp or Dangerous Items
(weapons, knives, spiked items, chains, fireworks & mace)
*If these items are in your possession when attempting to enter the gate, you will be asked to check in the prohibited item at Guest Services. You will be able to retrieve your items upon leaving the venue after the completion of the show.**
Thank you for taking the time to become familiar with our policies.
Since handguns weren't specifically mentioned I an employee at the entrance about a CCW license holder being allowed to carry. He thought he knew their policy specified that no one is allowed to carry into the venue, and anyone that was found armed coming into an event would be stopped and asked to check their weapon with a Mountain View Police officer on site who would lock it in their police vehicle for them to retrieve before leaving the grounds.

Just to ensure he was stating their policy factually he flagged down his supervisor and had me ask him the same question. He stated their policy is just what the other employee had told me.

For this particular event they were not using metal detectors/wands at the entrance gates, but they do normally.
