I guess they check for pistols, but not for rifles Anyway, I had some fun for them making me wait so long and this guy had no clue. This was at the HB store.
I always answer "Ray Gun" when they ask. Try it! It really messes them up!

Well, I cleaned Westminster out of slug yesterday. 39 boxes. Not that it matters, I don't think any Wal Mart ever has a run on slug.

I did buy all of the buck and .223 just days before, though.

I was speaking to one of the guys that normally works in the sporting goods section at WM about their ammo supplies. They were out of .45 when I went there recently (probably because someone here bought them out!) and he said they are usually always replenished in a day or two. Their inventory is almost constant, because they sell so much of it. I just wish they weren't so afraid to sell guns at the stores in CA.

Just my $0.02...about 4 months ago I bought 1000 rounds of .223 for around $6 a box, two cases of 12 gauge (20 boxes), around 300 rounds of 9mm and the same of .45 at the Wal-Mart in Orange without any issue. I had a whole shopping cart of fun and looked like I was up to no good. In fact, I passed two LEO's parked in the parking lot without incident. I probably saved $200 because I got it at Wal-Mart.

Had I decided to use it a shoot up some place, I would have been a force to be reckoned with. The clerk didn't bat an eye.

I think what we have here is an individual store manager setting a precedence for his/her store for the employees to follow and obviously not a company wide policy. If that is the case, go to another location. I know you might have to bow down to there policy, but in the long run, who really wins. You still end up saving money and Wal-Mart still gets to sell there ammo for cheap. They pulled the same crap a while back about refusing to sell music with explicit lyrics. A few stores started this policy and the media grabbed onto it and it went company wide. Hopefully the same thing doesn't happen with them and ammo. I can't imagine it will since they have a store in every small town from here to Maine and there are a lot of shooters they will piss off.

Sounds like its certain employees for sure. I have had NO problems.

I have been to 2 Wal-Mart's near me and the guys who work the ammo counter now know me on a first name basis.

Each time I go, I clean them out. Buy everything they have. Sometimes 20 boxes of .45 Blazer and somtimes 50 boxes of Blazer. They even box it up and tape it because well the Bag's Suck. They usually have quite a bit of .45Winchester too.

if anyone needs .45 Blazer Brass OR .45 Winchester, just let me know. I can always get it from the Wal-Marts near me or happy to sell you some of what I have now.

I have 4300 rounds right now. yes 86 boxes.

you're correct.

Was right before the new year, last write-off for Business Securities

It will last me awhile. And if Walmart stops selling and prices rise. I am good to go from my supply.

Don't have to do it over night. Every time you go to the range buy double what you need! Never use your stash. Unless for convenience sake. You will be at the required 10,000 rounds before you know it!!

One thing about ammo it ain't going down in price. Easy to sell if need be.
