I think sigman got the rest. :-)

They keep it right under the counter - no lock. AND the lady talked to me about shooting because she and her husband love to shoot. I live in a pretty decent area! :-)

You know I'm not man enough for a .45. I bought 1000 rds of .40 right after someone else a little earlier bought 1000rd of .40 too. I don't know how much room they have behind the counter but it seems to be enough.

I too wanted to buy online, but it seems like even at the best price it's still a $30 deficit for the 'priveldge' of buying online (1000rds 45ACP WWB) over the Walmart price. The ammo charges are better on these sites, but the UPS bill has a steep tax for ammo.

Just bought a case of 45acp at WM today, along with 4 boxes of Win 270. No problem buying. I love pushing the shopping cart through the store on my way out. I always get some stares.

I got a case of 45 ACP not too long ago. Instead of a cart I ussually just throw it up on my shoulder and walk out

Anybody know if WalMart sells 7.62x39? I called the local one, they do sell ammo, but when I asked the gal on the phone if they sold it, she said "You mean 9mm?" I tried explaining it, she put me on hold for a few minutes then came back and said they didn't have any. Wondering if she was still confused and just said that, or if they might really carry it....??

As far as I can remember, Wally World only sell expensive "good stuff" 7.62x39 (i.e. Winchester and may be Remington?). If you are looking for blasting ammo like Wolf, better go somewhere else.

Nope, that's what I'm after, Winchester or something in brass. I know the Wolf is superbly cheap, but I want to to stick with brass-cased for now. But at least it sounds like they sell it! Thanks for the confirmation, I don't often get the opportunity to actually get to the nearest one.
