Funny thing is I bought 800 rounds at a different Long Beach Walmart the next day without a hitch.

I think we just need to accept that there are some idiots working at Walfart

Don't know if this is the problem, but WalMarts in malls will not sell ammo. If it is a "stand alone" or in a strip mall, it can sell ammo (at least that's the story in San Diego).

That's not the case up here. The Walmart in the Buena Park Mall sells ammo.

Wally world in Milpitas (McCarthy Ranch) also has the 100Ct. WWB 28.98. I know this is the wrong forum for this info, but if anyone is interested in .223, they have Remington 20 Ct. for 7.55, that works out to 18.90 per 50 rounds.

While this forum may not focus on long arms, I can assure you that there are a number of members here who own them. I'm sure they appreciate the information.

Napa store the same - a price jump of 2.02 in 11 months for 45 ACP and 4.95 for 9mm, and 5.37 on the 38 spl in the 100 count packages.

Cost of Gas and Copper went up in the year also. Where is the cheap oil the left prommised in 2002.

Gimper is 100% correct.
That would be something they have NOT had on their shelves in the Central Valley locations for about 3 months. I may have to drive to Fresno tomorrow to check. Thanks.

Default .223 rounds

I live here in Santa Maria, California and I have bought Remington UMC 55 grains .223 for $7.56 p/box and yesterday I bought 200 rounds for $81.46 Walmart here in Santa Maria. I have asked the Hardware manager about trying to get their Federal Value Pack .223 200 rounds item # 998418 UPC bar code 2946509810 but was told they can not order this and they could not tell me why. Does anyone know why they can't and if they can how can I make it happen, thanks --- Ray
