Default Pro Defense Firearms in Redlands

This is a fairly new gunstore in Redlands(Inland Empire). I was actually refered to them by one of our members(can't remember who). Anyways, I'm not a big fan of Turner's so I decided to give them a try since they are new in town. They were very professional and helped me with all of my questions without trying to talk me into buying something I don't want/need. They have a decent selection, and from what I could tell, their prices appeared to be very good.

I was there to purchase a Walther P22 that my wife has been wanting. She wants the brushed chrome one with an MSRP of almost $400 I believe. I got one from them for $290. Also, I have been considering a Bersa Thunder .380 which usually run at or around $300. Their price - $240. Anyways, I always appreciate good customer service and decent prices so I thought I would go ahead and give them a plug.

Just checked out their store today and it is very nice and clean. Requested a cancel of my transfer to Bright Spot pawn and am much happier knowing there is a more local non ghetto place to do my FFL transfer.

Nice selection of hand guns but nothing too high end for 1911's, just a TRP from springfield which I already have. There are nice Glocks and SA XD pistols there for those of you who like those.

Apparently they can order what ever you may want as well which is nice. This is a great alternative to Turners which never will get another dime from me. Those guys there not only dont know much but they treat you like an idiot.

Thanks GreatScott for this info because you just saved my new Les Baer from spendign 10 days in the ghetto pawn shop of Riverside.

There's nothing like walking out of a ghetto pawn shop with a new $1800 unloaded pistol in your hand. Might as well paint a big target on your back. Hell, you need a CCW just for times like that.

I liked that shop alot. Had a little trouble finding it at first since you have to drive all the way around to the rear of the building where the entrance is. The discreet location adds to the appeal IMO.

Actualyl the huge pit bull with a spike collar that greets you and checks to see if you are welcome is a bit more character to the shop, lol.

I stood still a minute until he let me enter after I passed the sniff test and nearly wet my pants.

Same exact thing happened to me. The funny thing is there was a little weiner dog following the pitbull around like he was all tuff.

Pro Defense Firearms has been opened sinced August of last year.

They have a pretty good selection of handguns and will order anything that they don't have in stock.

Overall the place is 100% better than Turner's.

The dogs must be new, they didn't have them last year.

Default Firearms Question

I currently have a lawyer working on this for me, but have any of you ever heard of a pawn shop not willing to complete a FFL transfer due to a restraining order as well as not abiding by the power of attorney action to complete a transfer? Thanks

Just like any business, they have the right to refuse service. Who is the restraining order against? If it's against you that would seem like good enought reason not to complete a FFL transfer.

Would either of these apply to you??

Yes the latter applies. I have a R.O. against me and have had my firearms in storage since it was filed. However the firearms are being stored via a 4 month contract, which came up for renewal. When I went to renew for a another 4 months the pawn shop tells me they are having issues with their FFL and will no longer be able to store my firearms. Fine, I will have them transfered. They tell me they cannot and showed me a DOJ paper with laws from 1996!!!??.Anyways, anyone ever heard of this?
The local police dept believes they are stalling and have already sold my firearms.
