this country as a whole is soft on white collar crime. The big offenders are the benefactors of members of congress, through the lobby system mostly, those who donate to candidates, etc. Madoff is the tip of the iceberg.
That has set a tone that says that "it is not so bad", nobody got hurt!. ID theft, embezzlers, white collar crimes, is all decriminalized to a certain extend by the concept held by main stream society. In some circles they are actually admired, because they got away with something.
I have a brother whose business got raided by one of his "trusted" employees, her son is a cop. She cleaned him out. She had transferred all the titles of her properties to relatives and got taken both to civil and criminal court. she got convicted, in the end, nothing happened.
From corporate raiders, pension stealing to petty theft, the beat goes on. Look at where we are now!!
You guys who got robbed by these people, sadly enough will not get a dime back.
Tony Soprano for President! At least we know what we got with that guy....."Hey Joey, how do you want it done....fast or slow?"If that was true, don't you think they would come to your door, return your money and apologize to you? Why, because if they don't, they know that something is going to "happen."... Arrivederci, ci vediamo!!
Tutto finito!!! They do not want that!! Sorry, it is true. And it stinks!!

Here's the e-mail address I was using. No one ever responded so I don't know whether it's any good. Good luck, but don't get your hopes up.
