Default Good FFL dealer in San Bernardino area?

Not sure where to ask this but forgive me if its not the best thread to start here.

Where is a good place to do a FFL transfer near Redlands or San Bernardino that doesnt try and charge a percentage of the gun price?

Or a web site I can check out to find this info?

Bright Spot Pawn in Riverside seems to always come up at Calguns.net seems to be the place to bring in guns.

Thats where I went last time and it was Ghetto but they did a good job of protecting my gun in the safe and there were no signs of fondling it.

There are a bunch of places local to me that I just found the numbers for so I will call them and see what the offer.

I was honelty scared at Bright spot pawn and the place was pretty run down when I was there which was about 3 years ago. I hope they got better because last time they were pretty stupid when it came time to start the papers and I had to feaking wait 45 min to an hour for the owner to get in who knew how to do it.

Just looked up Bright Spot and their web site looks like the building is much more up to date and cleaned up.

If these other places right by my hosue dont work out I will go to them again based on the updated pics and how much it has changed for the better.

I think I will keep going to Magnum Range in Rancho Cucamonga based on your AAR.

I've never been to Bright Spot, but like I said the guys at Calguns seem to tout it a lot for their OLL's.

Well I am going to call around to the Redlands places and from what I remember I have to have an ink signed copy of the FFL license so I can check each one out.

I just want to come up with some way to ensure that I know they arent touching the gun while its on its 10 day wait or anything. I am going to ask the sender to tape the box in such a way that I know if its been opened then after I am there it has to be opened to start the 10 day but I can tape it back up how I wish.

I really just am paranoid about an idiot Pawn shop person wanting to know what a Les Baer gun feels like and screwing with it. They may be a bit taken back by my taping the box up but I dont care much about what they may think so long as my new baby is safe, lol.

The FFL dealer will have to handle the gun to verify the firearms serial number.

Also as an FFL I would not allow you to have something shipped to me that you dont want me to open.

I think you might have trust issues. I haven't felt that way and I have bought some nice 1911's beyond what Les Bauer makes.

Well I will just have to trust they arent going to be racking the slide and messing with it for fun.

I understand they have to handle it to start the papers but I have seen too many idiots in gun stores drop slides on an empty gun ect.

I will do my bet to go check out some places and be sure they look professional and clean and shouldnt have an issue.

fortunately most of us "know a guy". heck, when I buy my guns, he stores them; if he wants to put rounds thru them, less break in i have to do.

Try using the FFL finder attached to auction arms:

Going back with Bright spot pawn. Nothing local since none of them want to deal with it and bigger places charge percentage of the sale fee ect.

Costs only $60 total for bright spot pawn so its a killer deal.

Last time i checked my local FFL guy it was $25 or $35.

$60, I'd walk out and find another place. but that's just me.

Try Jerry Berman and sons. They are on Sixth off of Waterman. City of San Berdo. $35.00 for a PPT. Don't expect to get a deal on new guns though, they want full retail.
Gordon's gun shop just closed down.

Its $30 for the Dros and then they charge $30 fee. I figured this was normal and very cheap actually. No matter what the DROS fees are $30 so either you found a place to do it for free or you arent counting their service fee.

Am I wrong?
