3-5 USD. That is standard for PPT. If more is B-U-L-L.

He's referring to buying the gun from a sender who is mailing it to him. $60 total is actually decent for an out of state transfer. I've been paying DROS plus $30 FFL Fee at Magnum Range in Rancho Cucamonga and that is cheaper than Gunrunners in Duarte.

Oh, yeah I forgot to mention that. It was bought from an out of state dealer then being shipped to an FFL dealer here. This is why other places wont do it because they are primarily pissed that I didnt buy from them.

No tax and killer pices if you find a good out of state dealer.

Does the DOJ mandate tax be taken from PPT's and out of state purchases? I've had to pay tax on out of state purchases.

Any time you buy something out of state they are not required to charge tax unless they ship within that state. Same goes for all my ebay purchases or other items for hobbies bought online out of state.

Now you can be a model citizen and tell the IRS that you want to pay taxes on these items.

Sportingarms writes on my receipt that all taxes have been collected just incase.

No problem.

Anyone real local to me in Redlands wont do a FFL tansfer from a gun purchased outside their shop. I decided to go back to Bright Spot Pawn in the ghetto of Riverside.

Last time they kept good care of the gun in a big safe and it wasnt messed with at all. They also only charge $60 total for all fees out the door when others want to charge sales tax and a percentage of the sales price to do the transfer.

State Board of Equalization is the one in charge of taxes. The answer is yes. I have the tax bulletin that state.

Place I buy from puts down that taxes have been paid so I leave it at that and simply go pick up my gun.

My co-workers recommend Bright Spot Pawn in Riverside for out of state transfers.

I've been using Dave's Indoor Range in San Bernardino for PPTs and Cold War Shooters in Highland for out of state transfers.
