Is that why you didn't go with your first choice? Tactical Institute Training?

I'm intrested in doing one of these classes but...
Can you have a Utah/other state Permit without having one for California first ? I Tried to look it up on this site but couldn't find anything about obtaining one first any one place or the other.

Thank you and sorry if I'm asking a question that i couldn't find the answer to.

Absolutely! Having a permit from your home state is not a requirement for the Utah CCW permit. Many cannot get a permit in CA, but have a non-resident permit from another state. Keep in mind that CA does not honor any other state's permits. So, no carrying in CA with a Utah or FL permit.
