Anyone shooting the IDPA California State match on October 4th and 5th 2008 at Prado Olympic Shooting Park?

Yeah, I keep *meaning* to go, but my schedule has been hellish the last couple months. I will get out there sooner or later!

Ya there is a match next week! Saturday the 20th. You are right, 1st and 3rd every month unles otherwise noted on their website at Prado IDPA Homepage It is a fun well ran match!! Great for CCWers! All real life scenario stages.

There is also state match that is the first weekend in October. Its just state event rather then a weekly match. Huge prize pool for drawings and so on.

I strongly recommend doing IDPA periodically. You don't have to go for their "game score", but can instead work on your CCW mechanics.

I agree. Pt and I went last weekend at Sac Valley. Not only is it fun competition but it's great practice. We'll both be going back next month, too

I was going to since I did last years State match in Richmond and this years Regional in Richmond as well. As long as those matches took to complete, I couldn't see spending the entrée fee plus maybe 3 nights hotel and do a longggggg, match day knowing I won't come close to winning. There are just to many darn good shooters out there. I do plan on the GSSF Glock match in Piru. I have a better chance winning there.

I've been shooting IDPA about twice a month for 2 years. I love it. But I do it for fun and practice. So I do the local (local for me) state and regional matches as well for fun and practice as since I won't win, my expenses are held to a minimum.

Good luck if you go..... Paul

Default I was there ---

---and I blew the first stage! Oh well, chalk it up to experience, it'll help me to prepare for the State Championship the first weekend in October. The results for the event of the 20th should be up in a week???

hey, good for you for trying! It takes a lot of energy and drive to get out to the range, much less to compete, nice job, no matter what the score!
