I haven't had my training yet. But, my first thought was why is he talking to the media? Doesn't that create legal problems?

Exactly! Being trained in self-defense and our laws...would be quite useful.

Dispite the story being TX, and we know what TX is like, it's an interesting account of what NOT to do.

Sounds like the door wasn't even locked... "he just walked in," no mention of busting the door open. Yet another mistake this guy has made. If there's a suspicious guy prowling the neighborhood, locking your door might be a good idea.
