Each and every time... when it counts...no stopwatches.. no re-do's... no alibi shots... no make-up...just do it... each and every time... watch the sight and press the trigger straight back without moving the gun...

Unless it is 2-3 times center of bad guy...then to the pelvis a couple of times...shoot the center of what I can see...areas of natural armor...chest.. pelvis...head...pelvis is bad place to recieve lead...breaks down the structure...bone shock sometimes...but always start with the center of what I can see... no range drills... just shoot the center... if that ain't workin'... shoot the center of another area of natural armor/structure...then if that ain't working...shoot another area and then advance to the next.. repeat ad-infinitum....

two to the chest and one to the head is a range drill ... useful for the range... useful to break focus and move on... but not always the best solution... we need to use the most important tool we have ... our brain and within the brain ... logic...

By the way ... the head is not a hard target to hit just different.. but the ocular region might be more surgical... all targets are prescision ... some are surgical...we don't shoot the head... we shoot the ocular cavity...on a two legged predator especially...
Where is the spell checker on this thing.... ... am I ranting again... somebody stop me... where is my sponsor when I need him.... where not in kansas anymore are we....I think I need a meeting...

Good shooting with a handgun is Wild Bill Hickok shooting Davis Tutt Jr. in the heart in a quick draw shootout at 50 yards on the first shot with a Colt 1851 Navy cap & ball revolver while taking fire.

I think I said that was the way I was trained. ha!

I shoot whatever part of the body I can get a bullet into. I just don't want the BG to shoot back if possible. I hate pain, especially my own!!!

Consistantly inside a dinner plate at 15 yards is good enough. Shoot any caliber that you are comfortable doing this with. Use expanding ammo and shot is shot. Bullet size is secondary.
