+10 for Doc Amentler. He's one of the good guys. I've trained w/ him before. Unfortunately I've been unable to make his past two class dates, keeping my fingers crossed for the next one.

Gents, all e-mails answered! Any other questions, please send them on and I will answer them as I am able.

BTW, it's been raining out here! And cold....and dirty...ah well, another day with the Marines!

Doc: It's been raining up here in the Sac area too. Try to stay as warm and dry as you can. Ok... at least try to not be entirely miserable... will mostly miserable do? Thanks again for the Oct. class.

Mailed registration form and check for March class. Can't wait. I cross the State line into Nevada during the spring and summer for fly-fishing. I need protection from the pesky flies.

Any idea on the wait for non-resident Utah permits? I read that it was 6 months not too long ago. I'm hoping they made progress after hiring-up and getting through residents first.

Thanks.

Thanks.
I took the class with Jim in the fall, can't recommend him enough. Great class!
I sent my application in November 22, 2007, they signed the Certified Return Receipt November 28 and I got my card January 2, 2008.
So, what, 35 days with two holidays in there?

Any Utah/Florida CCW instructors (that help with the application process) in Orange County that folks can recommend?

Also is there a non-resident permit like Utah or Florida that is given reciprocity in Colorado? If not how hard is it to get a CCW in Colorado (I spend several weeks/months there a year so I would like to be able to carry/protect myself)

Colorado, as of 2007, no longer recognizes "non-resident" permits. They also do not issue Colorado permits to non-residents.

I've rarely heard or read of CCWI becoming truly cranky. Slightly grumpy maybe, but cranky? Naaaa. From what I've heard, he does have a pretty darned busy schedule. It's a miracle that he finds time to rest just half his brain!

Who knows, maybe he's the type that gets cranky if he's not doing something...

CCWI any time of the day. I took my class with him a couple of months ago, and it was a great experience. Great information presented in an extremely jovial manner.
