Default shout out for CCWI

here is a shout out for CCWI. I've attended the handgun 1-3 courses. I attempted the classification CoF for IDPA at prado yesterday. The training I received from CCWI was superb and prepared me for the COF. Thanks and be sure i'll be attending more classes.

Congratulations James, it is great to hear that the training that CCWI provides in his classes touch such a wide sphere of the shooting world, not just the "1 shot per second" range visits but also the practical applications. After all that's what IDPA competition is geared towards.

I have taken a couple of Gregs handgun classes and just took his Basic shotgun class the weekend.

In my eyes it seems silly to have a guns that you havn't had the ability to shoot fast and reload fast at close targets. If the SHTF its good to at least have some practice.

Plus Greg and his instructors are all super nice.

I wish I had more free weekends but it looks like my next class will be in March.

I was at CCWI's basic shotgun class this weekend too. It was a blast. It was a bad idea....Greg let me shoot his Benelli M1 and I think I might need to add a Benelli to my collection. It gets expensive if Greg lets you try his guns....

Tell me about it. I had already purchased a Glock 36 when he let me shoot his Kimber Ultra CDP II. Guess which gun I bought and still have.

Please forgive me, but I need to jump on this bandwagon. My wife and I have taken Basic I and II with CCWI and his team and thoroughly enjoyed his style and professionalism. We are both attending the Intermediate class on Saturday and plan to continue through Advanced, Low Light, etc.

I always thought of myself as one of those who "don't like guns". I now know it was because of fear and lack of understanding, experience and training. I credit FemaleInstructor for peaking my curiousity to begin with, and CCWI and the rest of his staff for helping me to get past the rest of it. Dare I say it now - "I like guns"!

Thanks all,

mtmman

Oh Oh, thats how it starts. Pretty soon the addiction sets in, followed by the insatiable urge to DROS, DROS, DROS. Thank you for your post. Have you discovered which pistol is your favorite?

Kimber Ultra CDP II, but I just got a Rimfire Super which is a lot of fun to shoot. Mrs. mtmman shoots a Compact CDP II.

Still got a lot to learn, so let's start with what is DROS?

Dealer's Record Of Sale, the paper work that you fill out when you purchase a firearm (new or previously owned). Kimbers are a great choice, well done. The fun is in the learning. Making new friends is just a by-product of the fun.
