Default Handgun training in LA County?

Any good recommendations for simple handgun training in the LA county? Got a buddy of mine that is starting out.

By training I mean, common-must-know knowledge such as handling etc., how to shoot properly, and the rest of the beginners material.

Thanks,

I had a great experience at LAX Firing Rage with Aashya (sp). One hour in the classroom and one hour on the range. Both hours were one on one. I was already an experienced shooter, so I really didn’t need the classroom, but still enjoyed it. I left a considerably better shooter. It was real cheap, too. For a first timer I would *highly* suggest calling LAX Firing Range and make an appt with her.

I highly recommend CCW Instructor. My wife and daughter were trained by him and crew. Held at Burro Canyon.
