You may be right. Especially once the women realize that your avatar really is a picture of you.

I have met with other instructor and instructor candidates that have expressed an interest in creating women only classes. Most have concurred that they would be most useful in cases where women are dealing with issues related to assaults or abuse and feel intimidated by male instructors or males in the class. I am not a psychologist so I can not speak to the efficacy of that approach.
present.

OK I'm not a psychologist and I don't play one on tv... however, I am a licensed married family therapist.... (although I have placed my license in limbo as the state wants alot of money to be active and I don't practice right now... in the interests of full disclosure...)... and I think you are right on... alot of women don't like the male presence... feel intimidated is right on... Thunder Ranch does a womens only class for those folks too... and as I have said before, when a bunch of women get together for a firearms class a weird kinda chemistry happens and it is very cool... they tend to peg the old happy meter when the bullets start flying...

We do a class every year at the Women in the Outdoors program at Tejon Ranch.. we usually run 3 classes of 10 women each... a real time for the instructors... we shoot alot of .22 and then let them try other handguns...

Funny to read back some of my first posts here on CalCCW.com - a few months later (and a few more encounters with CCWI) I know I can handle just about anything. Besides, the guys are always so generous with sharing their guns with little old me!

I will be taking CCWI's beginner class ASAP...a little motivation this week might just actually get me out there!

notice the "WE" mister. you can't back out now.

we don't discriminate, I am sure NON-TRACTOR owners can take the class too. You will feel right at home watching the girls shoot dimes in the mixed class.
