I Googled Ridgecrest to see where you were, and photos were available...apparently your town prides itself on its secure parking. Panoramio - Photo of Secure Parking

O that's good... and only one of the many wonders found in the wonderful desert area....
![]() I once found a factory condition... ok factory condition +30 years of sitting in the desert... 68 chevelle 2 door with factory 396 and 4 speed... tried to buy it off the guy... his wife/spousal equivelent/close relative... told me he wouldn't sell if for less than 10 grand... it had four flat tire mind you and cobwebs... but she insisted it ran when he parked it... said he was an idiot and thought that it was going to pay for his retirement... went looking for it again 6 years later.. (two months ago) and it was gone... guess he died or found his sugar daddy to buy it from him.... the metal was in good shape and it had a 12 bolt in it... ... stubborn desert rat... dang I coulda had me another chevelle...![]()
