Default Will be in Indio this weekend

My folks are coming down to escape the white stuff (snow) and I was looking online for a Range in Indio or surrounding area (Palm Springs).

There doesn't appear to be any, so I may have to resort to BLM Land.

Anyone know of any spots?

Check out the Palm Springs gun club. It is an excellent range for members only but guest can go to their competitions. I am a member and just love the place.

Excellent rifle range with steel plates, pistol bays set up with plate racks etc so you can practice all day long.

I went to a great BLM area out there about a year ago. There was an old car, old motorcycle, washing machines, tons of random junk people bring out there to shoot up. No 4wd required to get there. I was in my nissan Titan and it worked fine! It's about 5 miles off the freeway of bob hope dr. And the 10 freeway. Let me know if you want more detailed directions.

No, he's not looking for a place for them to stay like you describe, he is looking for a shooting range I think.

You might want to check with BLM, I had a bad experience out there and cost me a trip back to the beautiful indio courthouse for a BLM chicken$hit ticket. I went before a judge who asked me right out of the starting blocks "what were you doing out there with all those guns"? I couldnt help but smile. I was thinking if you dont know you really wouldnt understand, and by the way, it is none of your freakin business anyway.

Yes, it is highly advisable to check with whoever controls that land before you go shooting there. People often have cases of the "way back whens" and remember just driving offroad and shooting up a bunch of junk--often the BLM or forestry service frowns on that type of activity now, too many people living too close together puts that type of activity off-limits. If in doubt, just go to a regular range.
