-eye & ear protection
-binoculars
-paper targets
-stapler
-cleaning supplies for all my firearms
-wooden dowel (I got a squib out of a factory box at least once)
-gallon size zip lock bags for all the brass I can get my hands on
-LOTS of ammo
- a camera to take pictures for disbelievers of tall tales

now that's what is IN the bag...

hey who let the cat out of the bag?!

Ditch the plastic bags and go with one of these:
511 Tactical VTAC Nylon Large Drop Pouch, 511 tactical vtac pouch, 511 tactical vtac pouch, 511,511
Folds up nice and neat, has cinch neck and velcro flap. folds into a small profile to fit on your utility or other belt.

I reuse my bags. Besides its easier to deal with plastic when you pick up old dirty brass (dirt, powder, bugs, etc) and the roll up very small. I'm one of the many who scrounge up the brass everyone else leaves behind and gallon size bags can hold a lot of brass.

Besides, they only cost me $1 for a box and I can use them in the kitchen too.

It depends on where I'm going and what I'm shooting.

Handgun shooting:
First Aid Kit
Bullets
Dowel and Mallet in case of squibs
Eye protection (multiple)
Hearing Protection (multiple)
Bore Snakes
Cleaning Kit
Small Gunsmithing set (I've used it more on other peoples guns than mine)
Various Targets
Sunblock and Bug Spray
Rimmed hat in case I'm shooting semi-autos...I hate hot brass between my glasses and face.
EWL or Breakfree CLP lubricants
Towel
Staple gun
gaffers tape

Optional:
Chronograph and tarp (if I'm low on brass, the chrono bates people to shoot in an area my tarp can catch the brass...sneaky but I'm lazy by nature)

Tripod for chrono
Spotting scope if I'm sighting in a scope

I carry a lot of the same stuff you guys do, but I also carry a gunshot trauma kit (complete with quikclot sponge), just in case. I was trained as an EMT and it hopefully won't ever come in handy, but you never know.

Good idea on the quickclot. A few hemostats might be handy in that event too...they also work great for fishing for getting the hook out of a fish's throat for catch/release.

I completely missunderstood... silly me...
I have a large al-u-minium... (I know that ain't how it's spelled but I like to say it that way...)... truck bed box mounted in the bed of my truck.. on a bedslide actually... with a cover over the bed... lockable of course.. the cover and the box...
That's where all the range stuff resides... ammo, cleaning kit/box of stuff, ammo, ear stuff, ammo, eye stuff, ammo, speedloaders, tool kit, targets, ammo, ammo boxes, misc. ammo, water, gunshot trauma kit, (note to self: put extinguisher in cab under back seat... again) and then the guns go on top when I'm travelin'...
Of course if we are goin' to a large class of folks who might need extree... we take xtree ammo......There ain't no such thing as too much ammo..

Actually it is interesting to find things listed that others take to the range... could learn somthin' here!

Guess I should have been clearer in my response. The TacPack I carry in my bag is an all inclusive trauma kit, containing:

Latex-Free Gloves
Roll Bandage
2 X 4” 3” Gauze
5” X 9” Abdominal Pad
N-95 Respirator Mask
Triangular Bandage
Pre-cut Tape
Occlusive Dressing
CPR Microshield
25gram Quick Clot® 1st Response™

Designed to fit into a cargo pocket. I've upped my personal kit to include Quick Clot gauze and a cinch bandage.
