I used to own an indoor range... know the jacket problem...

The Doc. dug a chunk of lead outa my ear... about the size of a #6 shot...hurt...the plates where dimpled...bad move to shoot pistol poppers with a 308!

Just curious, was the Doc required to alert anyone about the "gun incident" that led to the visit?
My reason for asking .....

I had a friend in Wisconsin that was 80 yrs old and had never had an incident, but shot a 22 through his hand when taking apart a Browning rifle in 22lr ... the doc had to report gun shot to PD. No issue since PD all knew "Blackpowder Bob." Curious about CA medical procedures ....

The first entry in my chart...at the doc's is the HUGE procedure they routinely do a few days after men are born...one where we don't have any choices and we would probably say no if anyone could ask us.....know what I mean...and been goin there almost 49 years... started with his dad and now the son is the current doc....have no idea what he/she reported...the reciept showed "removal of foreign object"...

My field here: keep this doc for the charting alone.

Pretty sure there was no additional reporting done, based on that entry; and given the possible ramifications, that's a very good thing.
