Default EVANS, Morning At The Range!!

Had a great time today! Evans is a nice facility. Very clean and I felt very safe there. I really like the ample sized bench/tables behind the firing line to set out your stuff on. Lighting to me was great. One thing you have to keep in mind is you have your own light control at your station that is on a timer. So make sure you turn on your own personal lane light.

Staff was wonderful. Treated both Gimper and I great! We had a nice extended conversation with them after we finished up. "nice guys" They seemed to be excited to meet the CalCCW crew.

Thank you to Gimper for letting me shoot his .380 Mustang and his S&W revolver. Both were nice and lots of fun to shoot!!

I recomend the lime green siloette targets. Actually the Evans staff recommended them to me and they were right on. Made it very easy to see where you hit the target!

Hygyliac made a cameo apperance. But like Elvis, he left the buildiing before he even made a shot!! Said he was out Xmas shopping for HIMSELF! Making the rounds of all the OC gun shops looking for deals!

Overall a great morning sending lead down range! Thanks Evans! Can't wait until we have a range night over there! It is going to be great!!

Lime green has a long, distinguished association with this group.

I don't really think "distinguished" quite captures the essence of our association with Green!

Wish I could have made it out there today, next time I'm there!

Evan's a bit further of a drive for me but that is where I used shoot the most. Chris Luzader, rangemaster, is one of the nicest guys. He taught me everything i know today.

Yep, last night on the spur of the moment, my buddy and I decided to see what was out there. He DROSed two pistols and I got to watch. I called dibs on any Sig 239 (9mm or .40) that I could PPT, but alas little Hygyliac the mighty hunter went home empty handed.
