They do not charge us for the re-qualification or run us for wants, but it is a good opportunity for them to observe our shooting skills are being maintained and a possible attitude check.

Our local PD dispatcher/ receptionist told me that in the 20 years she has been there they have only had 1 issue with PD permit holders, that was a verification call from Las Vegas PD,,,,, not bad.

Even though our counties have these 'extra' requirements over and above the state minimums it is sure nice to have the ease of acquiring our permits.

I got my permit today. Total time to completion was 7 months.

Sort of strange, couldnt they just run a program that checks for that? Why bother having people check in? Ah well, governmental organizations operate in mysterous ways...
