Default Hello from Irvine

Hi - I'm a new member and interested in getting a CCW for personal protection purposes...I doubt there will be too much of a problem...I do have a few traffic tickets in recent months (4 to be exact, including one for speeding over 100 mph on the way to the slopes in Mammoth) but I doubt that would sink it...

Personal Protection is not a Good Cause to get issued and CCW. I'm sure you will have a problem. Dry Reckless plus three others in recent months would also be a problem if you did have a good cause. These reflect on your good judgement.

That does sound like a very high number of tickets then the average driver would get. Especially in a few months time span. I'm an ex-irvine resident but still drive through there everyday.

+1, yeah I didn't want to be the first to say so.

Some say that tickets aren't that big of a deal. Well, someone considered them important enough to make you mention them on the application.

I assume you'll be applying through the Sheriff Dept. Irvine PD only has two permits issued.

I bet one of them is the 7/11 that has a permit...because that seems to be the only thing open past 12pm and the ONLY 7/11 in Irvine. It's even so hidden I have friends that have gone to the plaza and never seen it.

7/11 in not one of the two. Good guess, wrong logic.
