I'm 29 years old living in Orange County. Found this site by searching on google. I own a restaurant down in Mission Viejo and live in Aliso Viejo. I have a clean record except for a traffic ticket over a year ago. I recently got an ABC alcohol license transfered for my restaurant. The background check was almost as detailed as the CCW and got my hard liquor license with no problems. I hope this will be the same case. Any help would be nice.

Sounds like you are a good canidate. The backgroud check is important of course. With the background checking out the issuing of a CCW will hinge on YOUR Good Cause. Good cause being what makes you a more likely target for armed assualt than the average person. You will want to express this in a written "Good Cause" statement.
Don't post your personal good cause in the open forum. Get it together and there are some experts here that can review it for you. Good luck and welcome!! ![]() |

LOL...thx everyone. I think I forgot to mention but it's an "all you can eat" sushi restaurant. Small place but the sushi is made to order so it beats the "buffet" all you can eat places anyday. Still working out some kinks in the business. Soon I will invite all..
I read before posting and realized why I couldn't find anyones "good cause". I figure there must be a good reason. I'm not in a rush plus I don't have the handguns yet to register for the CCW. |

That being said, there are folks here who have experience in proofing good cause statements who would be happy to help...I'm sure you can expect someone to contact you shortly. On another note, I am in Mission Viejo and found out (after I quit smoking) that I am addicted to sushi. I look forward to coming to check out your restaraunt when you are ready .

Ty423,
I hate to see your business go under so quickly, but I will love trying out your fine establishment when I'm down there next! LOL
