Default Another new member from I.E.

Hello Everybody. I am a new member who stumbled on this site. Thank god for google.
I live in Mira Loma (riverside county), and I want to get a ccw license.
Could someone please help get me going in the right direction.
I'm self-employed and have a spotless record (traffic ticket 22 years ago).
I appreciate any help.
Damon

Damon I am new also and will share any info I find and post it to the site. At present I am going to take the PC 832 class first and also get my paper work all set up , (letters of Ref, Insurance, and reason for CCW). I want to get as much info and background that they will need before I turn it in.

Check out the getting started section and the FAQ section. Ask questions as they come up. Please don't post personal information or you Good Cause on the open forum.

Good luck!

As I said in my post I am new at it also I agree check out this site and read all you can before jumping into it. You should be able to pick up the forms packet at the local PD or SD. Myself I am going to take the PC 832 Class at the local college then go from there. I checked before in my area and you must take the 832 class. Not sure about any other location.

Its required prior to the issuance of the piece of paper we call CCW, but dont you want to put the horse before the cart first? Unless of course the class is free, nothing wrong about taking it.

I thought you had to take the class before you could get the CCW permit? And since I have done some more research on it I don't need the 832 class just 14 hours of training so I found a CCW class listed by Turners Outdoors. It's only a two day class for $179
