Welcome JoeWca, I'll drop my bike off this AM ... it's good to have friends offer for you.

As for righty-lefty, I have agood friend that is LH and he shoots everything .. revolvers, 1911s, Browning HiPower etc ... as for CCW, just be sure you get the holster correct. Other than that, practice, practice, practice. I think you know a guy.

Welcome aboard Joe. It was good meeting you Monday night. I enjoyed our conversation. Talk to CCWI about guns with ambidextrous slide releases/safeties. My main carry has an ambi slide release and you can put an ambi safety on it as well.

I'll drop my bike off tomorrow.

Welcome Joe and remember that the HK P7 series has both the ambidextrous safety and magazine release you desire. The P7M8 as slim for carry as well. You might just need one or two.

For that tidbit of information I will let you clean the bike. When do you want it? It only gets a bath every 6,000 miles with the oil change...so the next question is if I bring you the Mobile 1 and a filter....you think maybe before you clean it?

Welcome to CalCCW, JoeWCa.

Sounds like you've already been injected into the OC Social Club. They are a great bunch down there. And it kinda sounds like you do something with motorcycles?

Glad you found the forum. Enjoy!

I am left handed, I shoot right handed because I am right eye dominate. When I shoot left handed. I have no problem using my left trigger finger for all the controls.

So.... I have to ask, whats the problem? . . . .

I can only offer a couple pieces of tupperware (Glocks) in 9 mm compact and .45 cal sub-compact, but welcome you to give 'em a test drive at range night.

I have no agenda favoring the ugly black plastic things, but I like their price and reliability for starting out; however, you may be disappointed with their lack of need for maintenance...

I'm not left handed, but I'd be willing to bet that those who are, shoot guns -- just like those of us who are right handed.

yep, my roomate is left landed, left eye dominate and he made sure to add an ambi safety so its easier to operate. He has learned to rack the slide and set the slide stop as well without switching hands.

lefty or righty, doesn't matter....what does matter is which eye is dominate and which way is more comfortabel to shoot.

WOW ! thank you all for the warm welcome.
It appears Maldos has "OUTED" me to you all about my compulsiveness,
I do keep my mototcycle clean and when Maldos offers up for me to ride an Aprilia until my bike gets back from the east coast and all I have to do is clean it, well a man has to do what a man has to do.
As for being a lefty, I'am left eye dominant and the only real challenge I have not overcome with a right handed device is the slide release. I believe I will overcome this with further practice and exposure to Maldos's 1911 Kimber , HINT HINT HINT,,,,,,
Seriously I think I just need time on the range to figure out how I can manipulate my index finger to reach the slide release. If I can not then I will look to purchase a unit that offers left or right handed modification capabilities.

I would like to thank you all for your suggestions and encouragement through out this post and look forward to meeting more of you over time.
I have a lot to learn and could not have come to a better place to get the right support.

TrueBrit and NikNak, bring them over I will ride anything with two wheels, once it is clean
