I've just registered on the site on the recommendation of QuietPI. So far it looks interesting.

I am a licensed private investigator and a licensed bail bondsman... I know, interesting combination, but it pays the bills.

Okie Dokie, let me say a little about myself...

I am a Navy Vet - Corpsman - I spent 2 years on the USS Enterprise, 2 years at Naval Hospital Oakland and a little over 2 years with the Marine Corps. I started working in the bail industry in '93 and opened my own company in '00. I started doing private investigative work in '01 and opened my own PI company about a year ago.

On a personal note... I am an Assistant Scout Master for my son's Boy Scout Troop (194). I have competed in IDPA since about 2000 but haven't shot in a match for about 3-4 years. I've shot in a number of Single Action Shooting Society (Cowboy Action Shooting) and I think I'd like to do that a bit more. I am a member of Safety First Shooting Association and try to shoot at their range, River Oaks Range, as often as possible. As a matter of fact - Safety First has more or less adopted my Boy Scout Troop, we do as many of our Eagle projects and Badden Powell projects out there as we can, the boys love it.

In closing, I've had a CCW since 2000 and would encourage everyone who can get one to get it. And everyone who has one NEEDS TO CARRY!

Welcome again Ca PI. Thank you for the introduction and the background. It really helps when new members say a little about themselves instead of just asking questions right away. I am an ASM also and my son is currently working on his Eagle Project. Good to have you with us. Another experienced CCW member to help field questions is always welcomed.
