Default Howdy From Hemet

I'm sorry I didn't even introduce myself before posting. The name is Steve, I'm 52 and I was born and raised in Orange County. My grandfather introduced to me shooting pre-kindergarten. We had an old single shot 22 rifle at the time. I've been shooting handguns since not long after that. I learned to shoot pistols and rifles trap style on moving targets and never have mastered paper as well as I'd like. I've attended two of CCWI's classes and came away recommending him to friends. I've also attended training at CCW USA. As well as an Appleseed Event - also very-very highly recommended.

I've worked as a salesman, portrait/wedding photographer, machinist, and finally spent about fifteen years in information technology. I'm now semi-retired and living in Oldfartsberg, oops I mean Hemet. You'll find me about once or twice a week at Inland Fish & Game, usually on the rifle range with one of these...

A few of my prized target shooters.

Good to have you aboard. Those are some mighty fine looking firearms. I hope you are enjoying researching the site.

Welcome. My mom lives in Hemet. She'll get a kick out the alternate name.

Cool Do You Know My Friends Too...oh And Welcome

DO YOU KNOW MY FRIENDS IN HEMET NAMED..."MAILHOT?"

Welcome to the "CalCCW," and your interest in learning more about what is going on here, for the benefit of California. Your "rifles" look great, however, I know that you will want to carry a fine "Kimber" to compliment your "collection." Keep in touch with CCWInstructor for the proper way to apply in your County;

Welcome Sholling, nice collection you have there, I don't remember so much grass at Inland Fish and Game. I was a member back in 1990-91 when there were only the two shacks and the firing line. The gong was there back then also.

Welcome Sholling! I actually went to Mt. San Jacinto JC for a year way back when, adn we used to scarf cheap lunches at Sir Georges buffet - back then the retirees were openly hostile to our boisterous ways as we would fight over the last Salisbury Steak in the pan. If you want to augment your arsenal by mastering Filipino stick fighting, there is a Dog Brothers escrima academy in Hemet now.

There is no grass at IF&G, that's my back yard.

That actually sounds interesting. One of the joys of getting older (besides not having to get up for work) is having a great excuse to pack a walking stick.
