Default Hello Intro

Hi,

My name is Pat. I am the Director of Agriculture at Imperial Valley College. I am building an Avid Magnum Tail Dragger. I also fly a C-140. I came here to teach from Idaho and am/have been a CCW holder for over 10 years. I am planning to get a CA permit in the near future.

I hunt, target shoot, reload, and completely support the RKBA. I just got logged on so have not visited all areas yet but, am a bit surprised that I have not yet found any mention of the landmark decision that was handed down today. Let us work diligently from this first step to see that CA goes by way of DC and that all points in-between follow. Mr. LaPier has stated legal action will be initiated in San Fran!

Welcome to our forum Pit, nice to have you. Check our lengthy thread on Heller in legal, great dissections of the ruling to be found there.

Default Hello

Hi Sam,

I am pretty secure in that the folks that I associate with are well aware of my standing. Thanks for the thought and taking the time to mention it. I am in the process of joining the ICSD Aero Squadron as a flight observerand then upon building the requite number of hours as a "left seeat".

I noticed that the thread pertaining to CCW in Imperial County is locked. Do you know where I could obtain fresh information on that topic?

Thanks again!
Pat

If you're talking about a FAQ, they're all locked. Information for addition can be submitted to the staff, but all information in the FAQs is verified before posting.

Welcome PitBull!

You'll find a surprising number of pilots here, and I'm a homebuilder.

We've been keeping our Heller discussion in a couple of threads in the Legal section, check them out there.

Welcome Pit - glad to have you here.

When I was a kid I had to spend some summers in the Imperial Valley - Holtville - working at my uncle's feedlot. One good thing about that, I have never complained about the heat since then no matter where I was at.

Nothing mush has changed in that county. Ray is about the same as Harold when it comes to issuing permits.
