Default Hello from OC
Just registered and am in Orange County. I feel like a fish out of water and could use some friendly advice (Greg has been very helpful so far). I have app, reference letters and cause statement prepared. I think I'm ready to go, just don't want to make a mistake.

Welcome Drew. If you've been in contact with Greg, you know not to post your good cause here, right? Just e-mail it to him for a look. greg@firearmstraining.com Good luck. Things are on hold for the time being for CCW applications, so we're all waiting to see what happens next at this point.

Basically, they are not issuing new permits, or renewing old permits, until the new sheriff has reviewed the existing permits.

We don't know how long it will take, or what her standard is going to be in her review. We have gotten a few hints that suggest the review will be relatively short (a week or 2) and will be focusing on people who may have gotten their permits because of a personal connection with Sheriff Carona. But those are really just guesses.

It is on hold for now - but you'll want 2 DIFFERENT utility bills from what I understand, as others have said - check out the new member & getting started threads for complete TO DO lists!
