Default So What Was the Basis for Issue?

I can do upper middle class. I am upper middle class. Where do I sign, who do I pay?

He is in the jewelry business or something similar?

How did he acquire his permit...?

Is it conditional?

Does my deluxe Seiko watch count?

Thank You,

I guess I'm not clear why the other shoe is not being dropped- what was the basis for issue and how can that be duplicated for everyone else?

Why wasn't there a run on permits after it was clear they are being issued w/o extraordinary conditions being attached?

Or are they being issued capriciously?

Inquiring minds want one, too....

Thank You,

Paul

He works nights for his girlfriend in a largely cash business. The profit margin once everything is accounted for, really isn't all that great, but when they go to deposit the gross income in the bank they're a tempting target.

Hi Paul,

The PD didn't go out of their way to advertise the new issuance policy, but it did make the local "newspaper" (the Sleazy Reader as I used to call it) who took the time to tear into the PD for the new policy (this was shortly after they'd been accused of dumpster diving another local PD's trash to try and find dirt on them) - after that you didn't hear too much about it.

I'd check and see who the head of the department is now vs back in the mid 90's. It is most likely not the same guy, but you never know - he was brand new back then, and whoever took up after him may have carried over the same policies? I would also PM CCWInstructor to ask about what he knows about RBPD's policy. I'll also check with my buddy to see what he knows about the issuance policy these days for you. I doubt he still has his CCW as he got tagged with a DUI a few years later, but he may have kept up on it?

Good luck!

Paul,

I got an email back from my buddy. He no longer has a CCW and advises me that there is in fact a different chief in place now. At the time he got his, he was only the 8th person issued one by that department EVER - but I also know he was the one of the first to get in on the new program they had going in the mid 90's. His good cause was very basic as a local business owner.

Again, best of luck to you - don't give up hope!
