Default Another SB County newbie (Victorville)

Hey folks, 46 yo HVAC contractor from Victorville here. Looking to try and get a CCW (obviously) so that's why I am here. Look forward to meeting y'all.

Seems SB will do it, and a year is worth the wait if that's what it takes. So off to the races we go. I'll read some posts/threads before I start banging away with the questions.

Thank you to the good folks that started the forum.

Welcome and good luck attaining your goal for it will take patience. IMO it's worth the wait.

I'm also from VV and shoot at the Apple Valley Gun Club and Dave's in San Bernardino.

Very cool! I've probably seen you out there. I still bank at First Mountain Bank so I'm always driving through there. I've landed a few planes on the lake bed.... But don't tell anyone.

My doctor has a Cherokee 180 tied down at your airport. (Apple Valley)
You must be an A&E guy!
Landing on dry lakes...Eh? Just don't tell your insurance carrier. Used to do that when I took my heavy irons to shoot.

Bombard, I fly to and from VCV from time to time for practice ILS approaches etc.

X-ffdo, As far as dry lake beds go, I never land my own plane there. I probably know your doctor or have met him/her at least. It's a pretty small world at KAPV!
