Los Angeles County. Ugh!!

Greetings,

I'm relatively new here. Upon finding this forum, I shared it with many of like-minded friends. We are all glad you are here. I live in an unincorporated part of Los Angeles County. I work for a LA County department and know a few Deputy Sherriffs.

With everything I've read here, I want to uproot and move to Orange County!

Even knowing how impossible it might be, I would still like to try for a CCW here in L.A. I know I will need all the help I can get.

Respectfully, I'd appreciate any tips/information that might not be written in these forums.

Welcome aboard Snovvman. I am sorry to report there is no good news regarding your desire for a LA County CCW. You could request an application, but even getting one of those from the issuing authority may be tough.

Do go through the FAQs and your county FAQs. This will give a much better idea of what you may be dealing with. You may wish to work up a good cause before you request the application.

DO NOT POST ANY GOOD CAUSE HERE PUBLICLY as it is against our policy and just not a good idea anyway.

Keep us appraised of your progress and the responses form the issuing authority.

Thank you folks for the welcome. I have certainly been reading the FAQ for L.A., but unfortunately, there is simply not much. I guess I understand why.

Thank you, spc, for the advice on not discussing GC. I will be very careful in the future. Thank you also for replying to my other post.
