New San Berdoo County Member

Hello Everyone,

I just earned a promotion at work, and because of my new job duties I believe I am at greater risk of death or great bodily injury than the general public. I know better than to post my good cause on the board, but I am seriously considering applying for a CCW. From what I understand, my county (I live in Chino Hills) is pretty good about issuing if you have good cause.

I will check all the other threads and learn all I can before I apply, and I look forward to interacting with everyone here.

Welcome aboard histfan71. Sb county does issue, but it has been taking a long time. You may wish to get started with your application soon, you should have plenty of time to get everything else together for youe interview.

They are good but they are swamped with permit requests, do not be surprised if you are looking at a year by the time you get the permit.

Welcome! Don't delay in picking up your app and calling in for an interview appointment. I got the app in Feb, called right away, and waiting for my appointment in November (just before Thanksgiving).

The process may be long but IMO well worth it. It gives us plenty of time to practice, practice, read the "book" and practice.

I think that as long as you are able to properly articulate your own good cause, you should be fine in our county. The problem is the wait. It will more than likely be next year before you can schedule an interview. So don't wait around, get your app and start calling about an interview.

We live in one of the better counties, except for the staffing shortage, we are better off than most of california.

Well there you go, it is tough traveling those roads.....
