Hello Everyone,
I just earned a promotion at work, and because of my new job duties I believe I am at greater risk of death or great bodily injury than the general public. I know better than to post my good cause on the board, but I am seriously considering applying for a CCW. From what I understand, my county (I live in Chino Hills) is pretty good about issuing if you have good cause. I will check all the other threads and learn all I can before I apply, and I look forward to interacting with everyone here. |

Welcome! Don't delay in picking up your app and calling in for an interview appointment. I got the app in Feb, called right away, and waiting for my appointment in November (just before Thanksgiving).
The process may be long but IMO well worth it. It gives us plenty of time to practice, practice, read the "book" and practice.

I think that as long as you are able to properly articulate your own good cause, you should be fine in our county. The problem is the wait. It will more than likely be next year before you can schedule an interview. So don't wait around, get your app and start calling about an interview.
We live in one of the better counties, except for the staffing shortage, we are better off than most of california. |

I live in Chino Hills; but my job takes me to Ventura, Los Angeles, San Bernardino, and Orange Counties. In the next few months I might get San Diego County added to my workload also.
