New So OC member

Ok, I've been hanging back, absorbing as much as I could off the board, before I spoke up but figure it's time I said hey and add my two cents to the mix.

I was introduced to firearms when I was a young kid, hunting and hitting the range with my Dad as a boy. You know how time flies, so let's just say 20 years goes by, before I find myself back in a shop, looking at handguns. I'm pretty excited, as I'll be picking up the first handgun I've ever purchased myself, this Sunday. I have already taken steps to get the training necessary to ensure I start back with the right techniques and based on the postings I've read, I think I'm in good hands with the training I'll be receiving...

I came across CalCCW after doing some research on pursuing my CCW permit in OC. I have to say, the site is impressive in both the content and level of integrity and sense of responsibility it presents. I look forward to a great deal more learning and hopefully, meeting some of the characters from the site.

Welcome to CalCCW, and welcome back to the shooting world. When it comes to concealed carry, if you have to live in California, you are lucky to be in OC. Good luck, and you can trust the advice of the elders here.
