Default N00b Here!

Hello folks:

My name is KimberDude, and I reside in Solano County. I am a gun newbie, and I wish to someday own my Kimber 1911 pistol and obtain my CCW. I heard Solano County is a pretty tough place to get one. Any advise? When I do pursue my CCW, should I try to get it from the local city PD of where I reside? Thanks.

Welcome Kimberdude!

I haven't seen much posted pertaining to your county, but based on what I remember hearing, Solano County is not an easy place to get your liscense. I was able to find this information, which isn't much. You'd probably need to make a call to the Solano County Sheriff's Office to get any more detailed info when you're ready.

Here's hoping when your "someday" comes, the process is not too difficult.

I don't want to derail the thread, but maybe we should start another one to see who has the most (outside of a guy).
