Hello Young Newbie from la county
From what I've read so far and have already seen seems like I'm in the worst of the worst to get my permit...anyway hello all I am employed by the LASD (Mr. Leroy Baca...SMH) although i am not a deputy i still feel that my jobs duties should allow me to carry a concealed weapon...also i live in Artesia, CA but i think its still under LASD since we have no Police Department...

Welcome! We too believe you should be able to carry concealed, even if you didn't work for LASD. Unfortunately Sheriff Baca disagrees.
It seems to me you are only a few miles from the OC, have you considered moving?

nah
I just moved there in july and im kinda locked in for a year...and I have heard from other co-workers where i work downtown...He makes "NO" exceptions unless you have an incident that was life threatening ON FILE
 with the department.
