Default Just Found Today

Just found this site today. Saw the post about being a lurker so i decided to join. In just a short time, most info i found about obtaining a ccw permit. Thinking about submitting an app for LA county. Just kinda thought, it doesnt hurt to try. if i dont try i fail. I have a job that sometime requires me to travel to business in LA county and collect money. Feedback welcomed

Couldn't agree more. Stinrey has in his sig line that the only way to ensure that you do not receive a permit to carry a weapon concealed is to not apply. Realistically, you will be fighting an uphill battle in LA. That shouldn't stop you. Forget the doubters, naysayers, and skeptics and give it a go.

The big issue for you is going to be the GC statement. If you need some help with that our resident expert is CCWInstructor. You can email it to him at greg@firearmstraining.com with GC in the subject line. He doesn't do PMs. Give him a couple days to get back to you.

I take it you do not live in LA county, your odds may have just increased.

Default La County

Im an accountant in LA County. I live in and work in LA County. Some of my clients are throughout the county and there is potential to collect cash payments.

Since your location is listed as Torrance, I would recommend taking a peak at this recent thread here: http://www.calccw.com/Forums/new-mem...tion-help.html

With regard to who can issue a license to carry for you, everything is covered there. Sonic2000 (the OP in that other thread) hasn't logged in since 02-17-2011

Good luck!

You may be revealing a bit much of your GC. You should apply where you live. Most jurisdictions would like you to start with your city if they do issue and try them first. If that is no-go then you can go to county. If you live in an unincorporated area of the county then go straight to LASO. You may want to stop putting any more of your GC on a public forum. Get what you have for GC and write it up. Send it to Greg for a critique and he can tell you how to nail it down for optimum effect.

Good luck.

Welcome aboard.
