Default New guy saying Hi.

I just wanted to drop in and let everyone know what a great site I think this is. I've learned a ton in a short time. I don't expect to be getting my ccw anytime soon, as I live in Solano County and they seem pretty selective. I don't really see the need to apply if there isn't a chance of approval. Thanks for the info and I'll be hanging around for a while.

Welcome aboard. You never know in your county. All it takes is a change in policy.

Thanks for the welcome. After viewing pages of posts over the last few days I have a unanswered question. Does a ccw permit only allow a person to carry in the county which the permit was issued? Also, any tips on selecting a training site or reccomended one in my area? Thanks again.

Although it is POSSIBLE that a regular CCW could be restricted to the county where it was issued, this is simply generally not done. It's issued locally (within a specific county) and is valid statewide.
