Thanks much for the welcome!
The information on this site has been invaluable for a new CCW holders like myself, I have gained much knowledge over the last few weeks here.

I however can't seem to find more information on places where you can NOT use you CCW in my county. I have read the "Where can't I carry" thread. The restrictions are very clearly printed on the back of my CCW, and I can't
risk having the permit confiscated. Below is what it says word for word on the back of my CCW:

RESTRICTIONS:
Carry of a concealed weapon by authority of this permit, is not authorized when:

1) Present in any area where carry weapons are prohibited by state of federal law.
2) Consuming alcoholic beverages.
3) Taking prescribed medication which might impact ability to safely handle / operate a firearm.
4) Present in any area where weapons are prohibited.

"This permit does not excuse or justify any behavior which might otherwise be a violation of any other law pertaining to weapons"

TO ANY PEACE OFFICER
Should the holder of this permit come to your attention under any of the above circumstances, please confiscate this permit,
and weapon immediately and notify:
Below office.

After going through this long and hard process you can bet I will NOT do anything to jeopardize my new CCW.
One of the places I have not carried but need to (large cash deposits) is in my Bank. Is this legal?

Is there a more detailed list that prohibits CCW's in my county, if so can I purchase a book, or is the information
available on the net?

Thanks in advance!

Sounds like you need to watch for posted signs and posted policies restricting weapons. IE on the back of an event ticket. Entrances to businesses, parks, beaches, etc etc.

Other than that you should be good to go. Including the bank.

Wow...again... how'd they fit all those rules and instructions to police officers on your license? LOL

Unreal.

All those resrictions and more are listed in the application you filled out.

Read Section 4 on page 6.

If you do not have a copy of the CA-DOJ application, click here:
