Hello,

My name is Brian Everett. I have been a Cal. CCW holder for about 20+ years. It's great to see a local forum for local CCW'ers. I am a full time Correctional Officer for a county jail. Been at for 19+years now. I am also a POST defensive tactics instructor and a edge weapon instructor.

Hey Folks, thanks for the warm welcome. I look forward to learning and I hope I will have postive things to add.

Yes, I am a 1911 fan. I carry a Kimber Eclipse II Pro as my EDC.

I also own 2 Glocks

I see from your profile that you're in Napa. Since you have had a CCW license for 20+ years, what can you tell us about the CCW process in Napa?

Napa is one of the more friendlier places to obtain a CCW. You are pretty much out of luck in a neighboring counties of Solano, Marin and Sonoma.

Pretty much all you have to do is apply at the SO offices and take the right course and you can get you CCW.

Are correctional facility is not ran by the Sheriff Dept. We are one of three counties in Calif. that is ran by the county and not the Sheriffs Dept.. I do wish we where ran by the SO though. The Sheriff and the Undersheriff are great people and I would love to have them as my boss. You will need to give me more info on Donnie??
