has any one heard of a ccw issued in monterey county? neeed a new sheriff maybe?

Welcome Ken Worth. Monterey Co. will be a tough nut to crack, as are all the counties in your area. There may be some local boys who are members here who can clear it up for you better than I can. Good luck with the process and keep us informed. You never know until you try.

There's crime in Monterey County? Why would you need a CCW? Is somone going to rob you for your binoculars while you are whale watching and make the great get-away swim to shore or something? (only kidding - I hope you get your CCW eventually).

Our closest town is King City but my wife goes to Paso robles to buy food and stuff because she is afraid she will get shot by the gang bangers who shoot each other all the time I should say they shoot at each other, they rarley hit what their shooting at. as for whale watching, it's about a hour and a half drive to the beach.
