New CCW from Clovis
Hello all
Just checking in as a newbie. Sheriff Margaret Mims just issued me a CCW and I just got back from Front Sight's four day defensive handgun training in Pahrump Nevada.Great training. Anyone been? Anyone thinking about going? I can help you prepare if you are going and have questions. Shoot Straight Matt

Welcome and congratulations!
 Seems like your sheriff is very CCW friendly in your county. Did the Front Sight 2-day in Sept with my son and we really enjoyed the professionalism, patience, organization, and customer service. I would also recommend them to those who haven't been. Nice to have you contributing. Keith

Congrats on your permit and welcome. Yes it has been some time, but I did a Front Site course and came away much more confident.

mattrock1, I just applied for a CCW in Fresno County and have my first appointment in December. The people at the Sheriff's office have been great to work with. My experience so far is that I couldn't have asked for a more helpful and professional group. I'd be interested in hearing about your experience in the interview with Sheriff Mims.
I'll send you a PM. If you don't mind sharing your experience, please let me know. By the way, we're neighbors. I live in Clovis as well.
