Hey Derek, welcome.

What you have posted sounds like your Good Cause Statement to me. It is usually frowned upon to post that up on a public forum. That said, there is a lot of good information and assistance here. If you want some help getting the GC statement into a format that is acceptable to the local issuing authority you can send it via e-mail to greg@firearmstraining.com. He can help you out. Good news is you have a pretty good reason to carry , bad news...your county is notoriously difficult to get issued .

Good luck, brother.

Keith

Derkwing, don't post any more about your GC than you already have. You may have the beginnings of one... I suggest you think about what puts you at significantly more danger than the general population. Write that down, sleep on it, re-read it and see if it makes sense. If it does, send it to the above e-mail. Sacramento is difficult, but not entirely impossible, to get a CCW from.

Welcome and good luck.

Be sure to read up all the info you can on this site.

I also recommend 2 books. Both from Massad Ayoob, Concealed carry and the Gravest Extreme are worth their weight in gold. This will help you get the CCW mindset.

Best of Luck and keep us informed.
