WOW!! Another Devil Dog among us. That's two new members in two days who are former Marines. Look out fellas...the Marines are taking over.

Welcome MarineJohn! Good to have you contributing. A couple of questions. Will the better half be contributing also, or just you? And I am VERY curious...where does she teach and does she carry to class? I wish that teachers would all carry in the classroom, at least there would be someone to keep the kids safe. Don't think that is really realistic, though, especially in this state.

Semper Fi,

Keith

Welcome, MarineJohn. It's good to have more women out there with guns.

Welcome to CalCCW MarineJohn!! It's good to have you here. As stated above thank you for your past and present service, and always remember, a couple that carry together.....well.....carry together!

My grandmother lived in Coalinga before moving to Tampa a few years ago. If fact she lived on Coalinga St just off Polk. I have very fond memories of Coaling Station "A" and grew up riding motorcycles all over the hills near your stompin' grounds!

Welcome John! I am a teacher as well and I am glad to see other teachers arming themselves. I believe that schools are easy targets for terrorists and mamdmen (just watch the news). Because of this I also believe that teachers should be armed and allowed by their districts to carry in accordance with the law. My current district does not but I am working on trying to change that.
