Default Hi all
Hi, first post on calccw. Saw lots of references to these forums from calguns. I'm going to be moving to Ventura county from Yuma, AZ very soon. I have a CCW here and I am in the process of finding as much information as i can for this county's CCW permit. I heard it is not impossible to get in VC so that gives me some hope. Without a gun i will feel rather naked since carrying has become a habit. Anyway, hello to everyone and I will be a citizen of California very soon (sooner than i ever though i would be).

in the future please refrain from words such as "PRK"

either use California, CA, Ca, Cal, Calif,

As far as I know, PRK is not a word.... acronym, maybe? But who is to say what it actually means right.

Pretty Rural Kimball?

Kimball is in Ventura Co..

Feel free to use acronyms like this at your leisure....

Never mind the above posts. It is not how we normally would greet a new member. Since you will be a resident here, you can refer to this state any way you please.

You may find Ventura a little more difficult than Az but not nearly as difficult as LA/OC. We do have a few members from Ventura here, including some who just received their paper from your new neck of the woods. You might want to PM with "too slow" and "impactco" to see how the process works in that area since they both just got approved there.

Actually no. If you refer to our site rules in the General FAQ section you will find that we do not accept alternate spelling of California.

Thanks for the welcome. I really didn't mean any offense with the prk thing. I enjoy being in ca when i'm there and have spent a lot of time there over the past 10 years. The gun laws are where i have problems. But by and large i love the state. As i'm sure you all do.

But all that aside, I am hopeful about the chances of getting my CCW (again). Now i just have to move...
