Hi,

I am currently poking arround for possibilities of getting CCW in Orange County. I know that I have excelent records, resedency, and firearm experience. I am not sure what would be a good cause and what would not be. Hopefully, I learn thing or two here about it and perhaps become able to apply for permit. If anyone can shine some light for me, please do. Thank you

Welcome!
Good Cause... well, it's both complicated and simple Good Cause is the the reason that you feel you are more likely to be in danger then others. Look at this: http://www.calccw.com/Forums/general...od-causes.html and with that somewhat in mind think about what makes you different from others. Sometimes it's what you do for a living, sometimes it's something in the past, sometimes certain interests tie in and make you more at risk.

In any case, good cause is personal and unique to each person so while you do your research feel free to ask questions but don't disclose publically what your expected good cause is. When you ready post up that you need help reviewing it or when you might have some question and a founding member will tag along to help you out.
