Default Another new guy from the Bay Area

Hey there, I live in Santa Clara County and I am an avid shooter/hunter. I love handguns, although my latest addiction is shotguns..mostly O/U's.

I used to shoot handguns a lot more and I am looking to get back in to it. I used to live in Butte County, when I went to college and knew quite a few people who had CCW, Santa Clara County, not so much.

Anyway, I am looking forward to learning and participating.

Thanks, FarmCal

Default Welcome from former BA Res

Welcome to the forum.

I moved to El Dorado Hills from the Bay Area and found a lot more people up here shoot and hunt- I'm not the odd one out anymore.

I found this site very helpful in answering questions from CCW to ranges in my area to gun laws.

Search around and post questions when you think of them.

Welcome farmcal! I used to live and work in Santa Clara County. Then I just worked there... now I don't. I used to know MOST of that county pretty well. It's just grown so much in just the past 2 years that some of it I just don't recognize anymore.

There is a lot of folks on here with experience shooting all sorts of stuff. From what I can tell, shotgunning seems to be a bit addictive... I haven't shot one in quite a while and I STILL want one! That being said, I also seem to have come down with another disease: Rifles...

I guess I'll have to satisfy the demands of each disease incrementally... but I doubt my afflictions will ever go away...

Welcome Farmcal! Do you shoot shotgun at Sunnyvale Range? I have'nt done it since some local ranges started banning lead shots. I believe Sunnyvale allows lead shot. One of my shotgun collection is a Browning (Belgium made) O/U, Lightning Grade. Maybe I will meet you there someday. I have been shooting mainly IPSC and IDPA these days using my carry guns but I sure like to go back to trap and skeet shooting again.
