Just got mine in the mail a few days ago. Took 6 weeks to the day. No interview, Just fingerprints. Was in and out of sheriffs office less than 1/2 hour.

Our Walmarts only have McDonalds. No ammo either. Maybe the Target food court for Nachos and some Nerf darts will have to do.

SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!! My pops had the same experience in Idaho. No interview or anything, except he walked in with the application, walked out with the license...same day service. The sheriff in his county issues on the spot for retired service members. Welcome aboard, RECON!

On a private note, did you do recon in the service? If so, which branch? I did a little TDY with Force Recon at Camp Talega on Camp Pendleton when I was in. We did tactical air control. Didn't train with those muscle brains, just went to the field with them and provided radio support.

I think with the lack of ammo at Wally World these days, and the hostile corporate takeover from Mickey D's. Their efforts to remove all the snack bars that serve those yummy nachos have not gone unnoticed. I think that someone needs to come up with a new idea of where a person can go to on their first day of carrying! Any suggestions???

I actually spent my first trip out of the house at the car dealer getting my wife a new car (we drove the car to Target for nachos, WW doesn't have them). Sooo...now everyone has to buy a new car when they get their permit.
